INTRODUCTION

1e(v). Define the term training.

It is the act or process of imparting or acquiring particular knowledge or skills, as for a profession.

A). Explain three features  of training

  1. Consistency of practice.- The trainee practices the skill from time to time, over and over again.
  2. Repetition: the activities involved are greatly strengthened by their repeated use.
  3. Transfer value: The skill learned must be transferred from one situation to another.

B). Define the term skill and mention its components.

A skill is a practiced, expert way of perceiving a relevant stimulus and then responding to it.

The components of a skill training are:

  1. Recognition of stimuli
  2. Appropriate response
  3. Establishing serial performance, each response providing the new stimuli which in turn evokes a new response and so on.
